Taylor Homec
DVM, Owner
Dr. Taylor Homec, founder and owner of Homec Veterinary Care, was born and raised in the Coachella Valley and is proud to offer his services to the community he calls home. Dr. Homec earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Utah Valley University, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University, which is continually ranked as one of the top veterinary schools in the nation. After veterinary school, Dr. Homec completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at a specialty hospital in Arizona and spent the following ten years treating pets in general practice, shelters, and emergency clinics across the valley. In 2023, Dr. Homec opened Homec Veterinary Care to improve his community by being a vital resource in animal health. When Dr. Homec is not treating pets, he enjoys spending time with his family including his wife, two children, and dog Rosie, cat Lilly, and a desert tortoise Shelly.
Bobbie Wright
Practice Manager
Bobbie brings 28 years of experience to the Homec Veterinary Care team. Her passion and love for animals shine through in all aspects of her work, and she loves making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners every day. Bobbie was raised in the Coachella Valley and currently calls Yucca Valley home. She and her husband have a happy fur family including two dogs, Hera and Gaia, a cat Hercules, and a bird Lou Lou Bean.
Chandra McWhorter, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
Chandra brings 14 years of experience to Homec Veterinary Care, serving in various boarding, surgery, and emergency technician roles prior to joining our team. As our on staff Registered Veterinary Technician, Chandra both enhances and supports the medical services and care provided to Homec Veterinary Care clients and enjoys being able to combine her passions of science, medicine, and animals while doing so. Originally from the Inland Empire, Chandra now calls the High Desert home; She has 3 dogs, Elyas, Ava and Smoke, a ball python named Mr. Lemons, and a lizard named Fred as part of her pet-family.
Becca Foley, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
Becca is a southern California native and has called the Coachella Valley home for many years. She brings more than 11 years of experience to the Homec Veterinary Care team as an RVT, Technician Supervisor, and Lead Surgical Technician. Becca has wanted to work with animals since she was a little girl and has a particular passion for exotic pocket pets. Becca loves spending time with her kids, and her two dogs Wednesday and Beau, cat Miyo, and cocktail Ferb-achu.
Regina Salas
Veterinary Assistant
Regina is a lifelong resident of the Coachella Valley and credits her upbringing in Coachella for fostering her love and passion for animals and the community. With 8 years of experience in the veterinary field, Regina finds joy and purpose in helping pet patients through every stage of life and strives to provide the best care and compassion for her beloved pets. Regina is a proud pet parent to four animal babies, including two cats, Tigre and Butters, a green cheek conure Kona, and a rescue dog Finneas.
Anissa Jimenez
Veterinary Assistant
Anissa was born and raised in Palm Springs and continues to call the Coachella Valley home. After visiting local animal shelters as a young child, Anissa committed herself to helping care for and treat animals. She brings more than 6 years of professional experience to Homec Veterinary Care, and is filled with gratitude for the relationships she has built along the way with clients, their pets, and her team. Anissa’s fur family includes 2 dogs, Maximus and Louie, and 2 cats PopPop and Kenny.
Gresia Martinez
Veterinary Assistant
Gresia was born and raised in the Coachella Valley and continues to call it home. She joined the Homec Veterinary Care team after having worked as a veterinary assistant in emergency and urgent care medicine for 3 years, and is working towards completing a pre-vet degree in Biology. Gresia has always loved animals and finds joy in knowing she is making a difference every day. Gresia loves riding horses, and her cocker spaniel Mitzy.
Jonathan Rubalcava
Veterinary Assistant
Jonathan has worked in the veterinary medical field for more than 20 years, with a specialty in emergency and urgent care medicine. It is his true passion to work with animals, and he is a valuable part of the Homec Veterinary Care team. Jonathan grew up in the Inland Empire, but now calls the Coachella Valley home, along with his wife and two young children. Most of all, Jonathan enjoys being with his family, coaching his son’s soccer team, and fishing.
Micky Rodarte
Customer Relations Manager
Micky is a Coachella Valley native and has served animals throughout our community for more than 16 years. Her passion for all creatures began while growing up on a working horse ranch and soon translated into caring for animals professionally. Through her journey, Micky has come to understand and prioritize the importance of caring for both pets and their owners. Micky’s pet family includes two cats, Master Yoda and Memow, and three dogs, Beans the Destroyer, Petunia, and Senator Chorizo.
Dayana Aguilera
Veterinary Receptionist
Dayana is a recent graduate of UC Santa Barbara, and developed an interest in veterinary reception soon after earning her degree. With 2 years of experience in the veterinary field, Dayana loves being able to make a difference in the lives of fur-families and supporting the resiliency of the bond between people and their pets. Dayana was born and raised in Coachella and continues to call the Coachella Valley home. Her fur-family consists of two conure parrots Kiwi and Pepper, and her family Jack-Russell mix Manchitas.
Joseph Rodarte
Facilities Specialist
Joseph began his veterinary career in 2024 as a Facilities Specialist with Homec Veterinary Care, and is always making sure the hospital is looking great. He gained an interest and love for all things pets from his grandparents, and while following his mother Micky throughout her veterinary journey. When he is not working, Joseph practices his guitar, drums, and bass while playing with his two cats Master Yoda and Memow.
